How to download JSON files from the GST portal

  1. 1Log in to the GST portal.
  2. 2Click on Return Dashboard.
  3. 3Select financial year, quarter and then month. To download GSTR-2B for the whole quarter, select the last month of the quarter.
  4. 4Click the download button in the GSTR-2B section. If you selected the last month of the quarter, both a monthly and a quarterly section will appear — click the required one.
  5. 5Click "Generate JSON file to Download". The JSON file is generated and available for download within about 20 minutes. To download several JSON files at once, use a Chrome extension like TaxTribute GST Assistant or XLSDeal.
